Lhasa-Shigatse-E.B.C-Lhasa 13-day Tour

 

Day1:  Chengdu-Lhasa
Gather at Chengdu Railway Station at least one hour before, T222 leaves at 20:36pm, first night on train.

Day2: On train

Day3: Arrive in Lhasa
 
Meet your tour guide at the Lhasa railway station and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure for you to relax and adjust to the high altitude. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day4: Sightseeing in Lhasa city
In the morning, visit Potala Palace and Jokang Temple. Potala Palace was built in 7th AD and now becomes Lhasa's cardinal landmark. Walk round in Barkhore street where we can easy find many kinds of local Tibetan souvenirs. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day5: Sightseeing in Lhasa city
In the morning, visit the first modern museum in Lhasa - Tibet museum. And Norbulink Palace which is just nearby. The name Norbulink means a glittering gem on the Tibetan highland. Head to Drepung Monastery in the afternoon. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day6: Lhasa-Yamdrok Lake-Gyantse-Shigatse

In the morning, drive to Gyantse. On the way, dazzling Yamdrok Lake can be seen from the summit of the Kamba-la Pass(4794m). Yamdrok is one of Three Holy Lake in Tibet. Visit Pelkor Chode Monastery in Gyantse. The Monastery is founded in 1418, notable for its superb Kumbum Chode (10,000 images Stupa). Then head to Shigatse. Overnight in Shigatse.

Day7: Shigatse-Lhatse-Mt.Everest Base Camp
In the morning, drive to Lhatse, visit the Sakya Monastery (4280m), on the way you will cross over Gyatsola Pass 5220m, which is the highest enroute. Rongbuk is the highest Monastery in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt.Everest. Overnight at E.B.C tent Guesthouse.

Day8: Mt.Everest Base Camp-Shigaste
Early morning start trekking from Rongbuk to E.B.C , it takes about 2 hours. Or you can take animal carriage ( 65rmb/per person). visit the langkhor monastery, Tsamda Hot Springs. Then head to Shigatse. Overnight in Shigatse.

Day9: Shigaste- Lhasa
Morning visit the Bachen Lama Set - Tashilunpo Monastery, which was Built in1447 by the first Dalai Lama. Then the spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas. Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along Yarlong Tsangpo river. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day10: Sightseeing in Lhasa city           
After breakfast, visit Ganden monatery, 60kms east of Lhasa, the originator of Yellow Hat sect. In the afternoon, sight-seeing in Sera Monastery which is one of the three great monasteries in Lhasa. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day10: Sightseeing in Lhasa city
Transferred to railway station in the morning, back to Chengdu. End the trip.

Notes
1. Tour arrangement required 3-4 days (working day, from Monday-Friday) to process. It takes longer time during the China Golden Week (May day holiday and National day holiday)

2. If you want to reserve the tour in advance, you are required to pay certain amount of money for deposit and fax us the copies of your passort and china visa for TTP application.

According to the Tourism Bureau Policy, travel agency will not be responsbile for any kind of loss and damage of property due to the factors caused by force majeure (such as landslide, snowslide, mud-rock flow, flood or any other kind of natural calamities, delayed or cancellation of airlines). And travel agency will not bear any your economic losses therefrom.

4. You won't get your deposit back if you give your reservation up. And if you decide to terminate the tour unilaterally or even go over the side during the trip, your action will be regarded as against to the contract, and the contract will immediately become null and viod, and you must be fully responsible for any concequency caused by your irresponsible action.

5. The itinerary can be customized if all the members in this group agree it so.

6. If you want to upgrade to single room, you are required to pay the price difference.
